Sport tour

This itinerary is dedicated to sport riding, but short cultural or nature visits can easily be added. Agrigento and Syracuse both offer a marvelous sea and splendid archeological sites. The Syracuse racetrack is very fast and the Valley of the Temples track at Racalmuto is more technical. They are both well maintained and in good condition. The track at Torretta (PA) is waiting to be discovered and then there is the very fast Pergusa circuit (EN). The disused Targa Florio road circuit is full of historic interest, although the surface is often dirty and slippery. Follow the code!

DEPARTURE: from Palermo or Catania
DURATION: 6 days
OVERNIGHT STAYS: 5
RECCOMENDED PERIOD: Everytime but July and Agost

On the track with Ruote Libere:
Ruote Libere offers a support service to book days of free trials on the track and places to stay at the racetracks or in the surrounding area. The service for sending luggage or hiring vans to transport motorbikes is also useful.

The Targa Florio circuit: The event has been held on various different tracks during its history, always in the area of the Madonie Mountains. The one recommended is the 108 km “Circuito delle Madonie”. The races from 1919 (10th Targa Florio) to 1924 (15th) took place here - 4 laps making a total of 432 Km.
