When to get there?

Thanks to the favourable climate and the resources in the area, Sicily is the ideal place for motorbike holidays, at any time of year. Palermo is connected by sea to the main Italian ports: Genoa, Livorno, Civitavecchia and Naples. Catania can be reached by ship from Naples. To get to the island by land, cross the Straits of Messina by ferry from Villa San Giovanni.

Thanks to the mild climate, Sicily can be visited all year round without any particular problems.
The different seasons are simply a reason to come back and visit a region that changes through the course of the year.
You are advised to avoid the hottest periods when you may be tempted to travel by motorbike without wearing suitable clothing.
